IMPAP vs POP3
IMPAP (recommended): Emails stay on the server and sync across all devices. Actions (read, delete, move) are reflected everywhere.
POP3: Emails are downloaded to your device and optionally removed from the server. Best if you only check email on one device.
Troubleshooting
- If connection fails, verify your password is correct.
- Ensure your server name matches exactly (mail.yourdomain.com).
- Try using your server IP address instead of the hostname.
- Check that the ports and security settings match exactly.
