If you no longer need a hosting service, you can request cancellation through your client area. This guide explains the cancellation process and what to expect.
Cancellation Options
End of Billing Period: Your service remains active until the current billing period expires. This is the recommended option if you want to continue using the service until it is fully paid through.
Immediate Cancellation: Your service is terminated right away. Choose this option if you no longer need the service and do not want to wait.
How to Cancel
1. Log in to your client area.
2. Navigate to "Services" and click on the service you wish to cancel.
3. Click "Request Cancellation."
4. Select your preferred cancellation type (end of period or immediate).
5. Optionally, provide a reason for cancellation. Your feedback helps us improve.
6. Confirm the cancellation request.
You will receive an email confirming that your cancellation request has been submitted.
What Happens to Your Data
After cancellation takes effect:
- Website files are removed from the server after a short retention period.
- Databases associated with the hosting account are deleted.
- Email accounts and their contents are removed.
- Backups are retained for a limited time as a safety measure.
Important: Download all important data before your cancellation takes effect. We strongly recommend taking a full backup of your files, databases, and emails before canceling.
Canceling a Domain Registration
Domain registrations cannot be canceled for a refund since they are registered with the domain registry. However, you can choose not to renew the domain, and it will expire at the end of its registration period. If you want to transfer the domain to another registrar, you can do so at any time.
Changing Your Mind
If you change your mind before the cancellation takes effect, you can revoke the request:
1. Go to "Services" and find the service with the pending cancellation.
2. Click "Revoke Cancellation."
3. Your service will continue as normal.
If the service has already been terminated, contact support to discuss potential reactivation. Note that data may not be recoverable after termination.
