Understanding Billing Cycles

Account & Billing Apr 11, 2026
When you order a hosting service, you choose a billing cycle that determines how often you are invoiced. Understanding the available cycles helps you budget effectively and take advantage of long-term discounts.

Available Billing Cycles

Monthly: Billed every month. This is the most flexible option with no long-term commitment, but it typically has the highest per-month cost.

Quarterly: Billed every 3 months. Offers a small discount compared to monthly billing.

Semi-Annual: Billed every 6 months. Provides a moderate discount and reduces the number of invoices you need to manage.

Annual: Billed once per year. This cycle offers the best value with the largest discount. It is the most popular option for established websites.

Biennial: Billed every 2 years. Available on select products with the deepest discount.

When Invoices Are Generated

Invoices are generated automatically before each billing period begins. By default, invoices are created 14 days before the due date, giving you time to review and pay. You will receive an email notification when a new invoice is ready.

Due Dates and Late Payments

The due date is the first day of your next billing period. If an invoice is not paid by the due date:

- A reminder email is sent on the due date.
- A second reminder is sent a few days later.
- If still unpaid after the grace period, the service may be suspended.
- Suspended services can be reactivated by paying the outstanding invoice.

Changing Your Billing Cycle

You can change your billing cycle at any time:

1. Log in to your client area.
2. Go to "Services" and select the active service.
3. Click "Change Billing Cycle."
4. Select your preferred cycle.
5. A prorated invoice will be generated for the difference.

Tip: Switching to a longer billing cycle often saves money in the long run. Compare the per-month price across cycles to see your potential savings.
