Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a verification code in addition to your password when logging in. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA to protect your account from unauthorized access.
What You Need
Before setting up 2FA, download an authenticator app on your smartphone. We recommend any of the following:
- Google Authenticator (iOS and Android)
- Authy (iOS and Android)
- Microsoft Authenticator (iOS and Android)
How to Enable 2FA
1. Log in to your client area at hosting.panelica.com.
2. Click on your name in the top-right corner and select "Profile" or "Security Settings."
3. Find the Two-Factor Authentication section and click "Enable."
4. A QR code will appear on your screen.
5. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code.
6. The app will display a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
7. Enter the current code into the verification field and click "Confirm."
Backup Codes
After enabling 2FA, you will be provided with a set of backup codes. These are one-time-use codes that allow you to log in if you lose access to your authenticator app. Store these codes in a safe place such as a password manager or printed in a secure location.
Important: Each backup code can only be used once. If you run out of backup codes, you can generate new ones from your security settings.
Logging In with 2FA
Once 2FA is enabled, the login process will have an additional step:
1. Enter your email and password as usual.
2. When prompted, open your authenticator app.
3. Enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app.
4. Click "Verify" to complete the login.
Disabling 2FA
If you need to disable 2FA, go to your security settings and click "Disable Two-Factor Authentication." You will need to enter a current code from your authenticator app to confirm.
Lost Access to Your Authenticator?
If you cannot access your authenticator app and have no backup codes, contact our support team with proof of account ownership. For security reasons, identity verification is required before 2FA can be reset.
